About the event

September 7th, 2017 Moog: A Celebration of Synthesizers  with Matt Moog, Jim Deragatis, and Natalie Chami Soho House Chicago: Drawing Room 6:30PM - 8PM

In 1964, Bob Moog combined his two passions of engineering and music and invented the Moog synthesizer. His invention revolutionized almost every genre of music, offering performers new sonic possibilities in which to express their creativity through its groundbreaking synthesis of electronics, control voltage, and modularity. In celebration of our month of Sight and Sound themed events, we invite his son and fellow member, Matt Moog, to open his family’s photo album. In an conversation with Jim DeRogatis of Sound Opinions and musician Natalie Chami, he'll share the legacy of the man behind the machine revered by everyone from The Beatles to Herbie Hancock.
