A night of audio and visual collaboration
Come see the premiere of three new videos with live audio created by Chicago-based artists using footage from the Chicago Film Archives’ collection! The Media Mixer project opens up CFA’s vault of archival footage to contemporary artists, and supports the creation of a new video work by pairing visual artists with artists working with sound.
Musicians Bill MacKay, Natalie Chami / Tal Sounds, and Lilianna Zofia Wosko will perform live with new videos created by Brian Ashby, Emily Eddy, and Amir George.
This year’s Media Mixer artist pairings are: Brian Ashby (video) + Bill MacKay (sound) Emily Eddy (video) + Natalie Chami / Tal Sounds (sound) Amir George (video) + Lilianna Zofia Wosko (sound)
