About the event
The Wasteshed, a new creative reuse art supply store in southern Humboldt Park, is opening its doors for what is sure to be an amazing show!!! Featuring: TALsounds - In live performance, Natalie Chami's analog synthesizers weave together into drifting loops that evolve in tandem with her vocal leads and choral harmonies. Her meditative sessions stretch into hypnotizing depths of stream-of-consciousness multi-instrumental input, sinking into expanses of infinite sustain and cresting into bursts of noise from an arsenal of oscillators and effects pedals. https://talsounds.bandcamp.com/ Well Yells - Patrick Holbrook (of Laughing Eye Weeping Eye)'s solo project, swirling, dreamy sounds spread out over pulsing beats https://soundcloud.com/well-yells Curt Oren - Circular breathing solo saxophone on tour from Iowa City (recently transplanted to Minneapolis), utilizing the natural harmonics of the saxophone to create dense, yet simple chords and melodies. He loves his dog and is gonna bring fresh baked cookies. http://CurtOren.Bandcamp.com/ Teaadora - Former Chicago resident now residing in Normal, IL, "I was the photographer for the show and I wanted so badly to capture Teaadora during her performance as she lightly tapped her foot and closed her eyes. However, her silent child-like voice not only captivated me, but hindered my ability to press the shutter. My few attempts disrupted the mesmeric audience as they watched; half-smiling, eyes shut, mostly standing still with placid faces." - Parallel Planets https://teaadora.bandcamp.com/ Come to The WasteShed, browse the repurposed art supplies, and if you feel inspired, make some crafts while you're here! Remember this is a show, but it's also being held at a reputable business, so NO MOSHING IN THE POM POMS! Don't forget a $5 donation for the traveling bands! Peace on Earth
