About the event

Billington/Becker/Frye/Johnson + Good Willsmith + Panicsville + M. Sage + Potions @ The Empty Bottle 7PM | $5 | 21+ | Facebook Event

The Empty Bottle & Hausu Mountain present a night of weirdo, experimental, and psychedelic music that showcases rising and established stars of the Chicago music community. Yes yes, we're getting the whole gang together for one night and one night only. All your favorite hot freaks will be performing and in attendance tonight, so prepare to have your earballs shot out your eyeholes - it's going to feel great. Note that this show is a bit earlier than normal for a Sunday. Noise people love sleep, so no complaining about the #SundayFactor 4) Billington / Becker / Frye / Johnson  Some of our city's most beloved musicians get together for a special group improvisation ft. Ben Billington (Tiger Hatchery, Quicksails, Moonrises, ADT), Jim Becker (Califone, Iron & Wine, Paulina Hollers), Rob Frye (Bitchin Bajas, CAVE, Fluxbikes) & Whitney Johnson (Verma, Matchess) 3) Good Willsmith http://goodwillsmith.bandcamp.com/ Good Willsmith processes guitars, synths, found physical media, and voices through multi-track looping hardware and chains of electronics. The trio incorporates elements of ambient, drone, noise, kosmische, minimalist, metal and Indian classical musics into long-form structured improvisations that overflow with volume and texture.  2) Panicsville http://panicsville.nihilistrecords.net/ Panicsville is a Chicago noise music group founded in 1992 by Andy Ortmann. It has become an ongoing project for Ortmann to work with other musicians. Early shows consisted of pelting the audience with items like dry ice, meat, blood and insects. Now the group generally plays shrieking, high-pitched noises dressed in strange black latex outfits, and physically attack their audience in a violent but playful fashion. - Wikipedia 1) M. Sage http://msage.bandcamp.com/ "Matthew Sage’s music is immersive. There’s a considerable depth to his sonic constructions, such that upon witness, a perceptual illusion is created in which the five senses are folded onto each other into a single, whole body experience. At least that’s how Sage’s music approaches me. When I listen to one of his releases, it’s with both ears and my whole consciousness, my soul." - Decoder ALL NIGHT BABY) Potions  Potions will be bringing that all-night "boogie sauce" that will make you "go bump".
